The 16th Vienna Head and Neck Days
- a Dissection Course -
This course is directed towards specialists in otorhinolaryngology and maxillofacial surgery, as well as trainees engaged in surgical practice within the field of head and neck oncology.
The program is designed with a strong emphasis on practical training. Of particular note is the third day, during which participants will have the opportunity to perform soft tissue dissections of the head and neck on unfixed specimens, under the close supervision of experienced surgeons. This format ensures structured, stepwise surgical instruction in a highly practical setting.
The accompanying lectures are likewise practice oriented. While the Onco Basic course addresses fundamental oncological principles, the Vienna Head and Neck Days will extend these concepts by examining the specific characteristics of different tumor sites in greater detail. Furthermore, surgical strategies and techniques will be conveyed in a clear and demonstrative manner, facilitating direct transfer into clinical practice.
In addition to its educational objectives, the 16th Vienna Head and Neck Days will once again provide a forum for collegial exchange, fostering academic discussion and collaboration in an atmosphere of professional camaraderie.
